Summer in Scotland
with a Bollywood soundtrack
that's a bit surreal

'rainbows and ripe raspberries' is a great line Mimis, is it a reference to the famously blue skinned Scots in the sun?

If I can bring a tweek of joy to anyone this summer with a few lines, then that is a real joy - and not just to me. We have today been in so much sadness that any happiness is much welcome.
This morning we had the funeral of a young boy, or as we say a loonie, who died before his time. the church was so full it was standing room only, and at the graveyard, it was standing room.
All the young loons called a wake in the village and it was fine.
The hymns were not the ones of my CofE childhood, but they were songs I found easy to sing.

You wonder why you cry but you do.

Life, valley of tears
And no amount of haikus
will ever change that.
