Can you get Marmite in Canada? I've read that eating Marmite discourages the mossies, it's the vitamin B1 apparently, they don't like the taste.
Not sure about this though, you'd have to eat ever such a lot of it surely...?
not seen many black flies so far O and the mozzers don't bother me so much as the fillets (but then it's me and the musses flou who have to fly into manic kung fu mode to keep our little un's safe)

the marmite remedy sounds about as effective as drinking gin and tonics to prevent malaria. 'cos, you know, the tonic contains quinine.
marmite can be got in the US, incidentally, but it costs about $6 for a very small jar.
