These Warnings are turning out to be quite revelatory...

After the cyclone, the tsunami... We'll see exactly how much water the ocean throws at us in a couple of hours.

And some people imagine living here is a breeze...

Are the two connected? Does the Procurator take no responsibility for the shedding of tears during transmigrating, I wonder.

Oops. Sorry Offie, I have been having a self-imnposed news-free weekend, but I've caught the news today and realise that you were referring to a new tsunami danger. Did it hit Tahiti? I do hope you are ok.

Thanks Pinkie, we're all fine. NO damage. Turned out to be a smallish wave after all. The west of France was a lot worse off, strangely...

Hm. That is a bit odd. I like the Aussie spirit ignoring the warnings and going to the beach anyway!

Glad you're ok.

Speaking of ignoring the warnings, there was one guy out on his board on the morning of the tsunami, waiting for the wave. The surfers here are insane enough to ride 20ft monsters directly onto the reef, but going out to catch the tsunami is just mental.

A Dark Star aficionado, perhaps. There was a chap who surfed the tsunami ( which is where I first read the word ) in that Larry Niven book whose name I keep forgetting. Lucifer's Hammer?
