is it Gormley's celestial pied a terre standing for the return of Avalon?
It's a lump of metal, the main purpose of which is to ruin an otherwise perfectly acceptable landscape.
How do we have to wait before it takes off and flies around?
Gyxglor, Mrhylet, yqulor merunél tign.*
*One day, son, all this will be yours.
Gryndraq, MrhyleTinn, yklarmyn kuklar Nintendo Wii sekki?*
* But Dad, can't I just have an Nintendo Wii now?
No, I'd say it looks more like Art Garfunkel.
Art Garfunkel?? I was thinking more Ozymandias...
Tony and BD, funny!
that's a lot of bakelite!!
My grand piano never looked so imposing before!
Hang on, I know what this is. I've just recognised it.
It's a taproom!
a Trojan horse in Scotland.
Scotland is a Trojan Horse. Just waiting to unseat Italy at the weekend and inflict humilation upon England by qualifying while they can't!!
Ha ha, bring on a Taproom - I missed out on the last one. Can't remember why.
a trojan horse in scotland waiting for the italians.
And fans waiting, wrapped in silk and cashmere against the creeping cold and snow. Wishing that either real fur was not outlawed by the PC brother/sisterhood, or it was acceptable to wear a willing cat on the head or under the vest to stay warm in sub-zero temperatures.
It is a taproom. It's not quite taking off just yet, but there is hope.
And as the crowd flowed over London Bridge, I had not thought death had undone so many.
Come on, cyclists and mad people all.
Mes semblables, mes freres.
Oh, if you want a friend....

This is the quietest taproom I've ever seen. *sigh*
currently embroiled
in transat. the race, not the
jacques tahiti kind.
We've all been over at Ebren's, thinking sombre thoughts.
Mimi, time to reveal the answer, I think...
henry,
it takes a lot of hulot to come up with such a name:
"jacques Tahiti".
I love cellos, I love the north-east. I used to live in Newcastle - Fenham. When I did the big drive north to relocate from London to Scotland, I could have chosen the easier route up the west coast.
I needed, NEEDED, to see the Angel.

So, I was right, then?
Tears.

Here is another, and why???

It's all just about why crying.
So: is the Angel of the North a female or a male? Or don't angels have a gender?
angels are just angels.

we are born innocent, as angels we just are loosing our wings with the time for flying through the storms.
Very poetic, Guitou:) those storms do damage the wings...
I moved north as april turned to may. As I changed my life from south to north. As I realised that things don't change, but always change and the April Skies tell the tale in the way that November skies do too. It's all red in the morning or red in the evening.
This tells a story and a life, and tears and having worked with these boys, it's just how things are and life and all those things that just happen.
Under April Skies.
