Underwater IV -- by File

.

..........................
underwater IV

waves
of washes
on mottled paper
shallows of
insurgent
sighs

lines
defiling
implicit horizons
oceans exploring
the shores of
forms

dreams
of the seas
at the tips of bristles
vision listens to
whispers of
brushes

wishes
and washes
waves overlapping
worlds, underwater
often spills
over

.

wotcha Offie, just a little light consommé before Zeph's eau de vie...

File's eau de vie comment is because I have a watery pome too, but I shall wait a day or so before posting it.

I think this is lovely, File, and I like the wave shapes so much. I like the third verse best, two great interlinked images there.

Just glad you've returned, mon filou, I'll be on the smoke signals machine as soon as I have a moment.

thanks Zeph

never really went away O, and not sure I've really returned either! As I said to Guitou on Beyonders thread, time is short and far between these days...

Filou,
Time is short- it's one of the french poets favorite
statement-" o temps suspend ton vol", Lamartine-
"le temps s'en va madame, l temps s'en va, las le temps non mais nous nous en allons" Ronsard- "J'ai pas le temps" offside in Tahiti-"le temps c'est de l'argent"-guitou.
"quel temps fait-il a Paris?"
le ciel est-il bleu ou gris"-Zephirine.
it's about time you show your talent and share wih us
the art of watering the other stuff

Is is not les temps perdues? For us all?

Time is precious, time with our loved ones is precious and time to enjoy is precious.

Files's poems are a joy and wonder and inspiring. The presence here of Zeph, Offie, Gui and all readers who don't post is precious.

a la recherche du temps perdu, mimi?
think it's marcelaproust or the brother marcel who
wrote the novel- 7 volumes, on a pas le temps-

Thanks for File's lovely watery post and looking forward to the splash with which Zeph is promising to follow it.

Guitou,

si t'as pas le temps, prends ton temps (dicton tahitien).

thanks mimi

guitou, as we know; if we keep "watering the other stuff" de temps en temps...it grows.

you're very welcome Beyonce

Billy, it's a question of necessity for balance in a very un-poetic world n'est pas?

Billy: by avoiding all the things we should be doing:)

Nice to see a Proper Published Pote here on OtherStuff, BillyMills, welcome... obviously you realise File and Ofile are the same person (a small matter of a banning from GU I believe) - look back through some of his other work on here if you have time. It's cool.

ta Zeph, I should qualify that; I was banned for suggesting the sweet FA were akin to Opus Dei, go figure but Welcome Billy, hope you'll find time to grace us with one o' yours...
