Hey Filou, listen, the French, they've written a song about you. Only, I'm not sure whether it's this one, or that one.
"Mais il est seul.
Un jour,
L'amour
L'a quitté, s'en est allé
Faire un tour de l'autre côté
D'une ville où y'avait pas de place
Pour se garer."
Ah, probably the first one, then.
Why the first one?
"Je me gare n'importe où
J'vous jure que j'suis heureux
Mais ça emmerde les gens quand on vit pas comme eux."
Does this tiny planet have a traffic warden to inforce the double yellow lines?
Hm. Think I meant "enforce"...
that's the thing Pinkish, you just never know!
Offie, didn't Manset also sing about Le Morte D'Orion? Are you trying to tell me something?
demarcation yellow lines around the black hole are there to signal the ergosphere, thanks file, we won't miss this time
It's A Beautiful Day on cd at last.
is there parking on the other side of the planet?
Bit quiet on here. I wonder what Zeph has been up to this last couple of days...
...is there any cricket on?
I don't think so. I would have heard of it. She's probably gardening or something.
Well there's the dismal display of the men's England cricket team in the Ashes, although I hope she's watching the women's team (if they've deigned to televise it) who currenty have the Aussies on the ropes 23 for 4...
I don't suppose they'll get an open-topped bus parade around London if they win!
Cricket? Moi? I've been working.
With the cricket playing on my computer.
The women's match isn't on TV as far as I can see but hey, they can just get on with it on their own and win, they always do.
As soon as I say the men are dismal then they start improving... they are pathetic, dire, worthless, over-rated pansies ... (there now they might even win)
They're not going to win, Pinkerbell. Not this match. Sigh. A draw is possible wih plenty of rain.
Sadly the women won't win either. 34/4.
Bad day all round for cricket - unless you're Australian of course.
...and the tail wagged saving the embarassing loss for another day. Wow that last hour was tense!
Looks like the ladies have a similar struggle tomorrow (which is being televised)...
Sorry am I talking sport on the wrong blog?
Never, Pink. Cricket is part of life and welcome everywhere - at least in my book, but that was a nail-biting session after tea today.
God it was, Mimi, yes. I didn't catch the first few days so I don't know how his bowling was, but Panesar did wonderfully well staying at the crease there.
So they are thinking of dropping the hero Panesar and putting in Harmison and Onions, but keeping the top order batsmen in tact. How does that work??
