Springy haikus...
Time for another haiku challenge. You can post yours as a comment, or send it in with or without graphics.
It must contain the word SPRING.
Here are a couple to start off with (both a trifle gloomy, but I had a cold at the time):

I've no email at the moment, or for the foreseeable fortnight, so here's a thought as a beautiful spring day blesses us.
After a false dawn
Spring brings April warmth and light
No showers today
Thanks Mimi - much more cheerful.
Snow drops no longer –
Sweet meadows growing skyward
Soon herald summer.
(Mimi - no email is a tragedy!!)
Pinkerbell: I know but I'm still on Facebook - Clare Alison Davies - and when The Controller gets back from hols, email will be back.
Always sad to lose the snowdrops but the new spring flowers make up for it. Today I so agree that summer is in the air.
Mimi,
If you get your email back could you please drop an Haiku for me mimi?
I can't haiku andI don't drink japanese beer but I can do a nice illustration, I assure you I will-
"Haiku by Mimi, illustrated by Guitou"..voooaaahoo!
Gui: have to go out
lamb tegine and couscous waits
will email soon as
And try and think of good haiku for your illustration.
mim's,
let me send it to u first as a canevas for your poetry.....
I'm staying away from this for fear of catching something.
Doggone it, I have caught something! Mimi's influence is spreading far and wide... A construction worker in Ilford has drilled through the telecom underground cable and I have no broadband.... acute withdrawal symptoms... back as soon as possible...
daffodils heal all
ills, unfurling antigens
dulcetly spring forth.
Mims and Zeph, that's awful, good luck getting reconnected soon.
I'm afraid we skipped spring and went straight to summer here. I got heat exhaustion on Sunday, though it was my own fault for being stupid.
Zeph - sorry! Hope you're back on line soon.
I'm hoping to be restored emailwise in about another week.
Just think of that wonderful moment - logging on after two weeks and despite filters, I know there will be hideous spam. Dreading it.
Out of sheer desperation, I've now purchased something called a dongle, which is miraculously enabling me to have mobile broadband - at a price. Apparently the cable that got drilled though is about 30 metres underground... when I found that out I gave up expecting it to get fixed in the next few days...
Anyway, Happy Easter to all OtherStuffers around the globe!
Munni, nice haiku - sorry about the heat exhastion, but if you will sit in the sun and drink pink champagne...
...alas, no pink champagne. I went on a 7 mile hike and forgot my water bottle.
Oh well, I've no sympathy for you, then:)
My broadband came back yesterday, hooray!
Oh dear I've only just noticed you specify the inclusion of the word "spring" - oops - I get minus points for observation!
