I really like this one Zeph, even memory is dynamic, rippling...
Not just the words, but the colours here, remind me of lunchtime in Victorian cemeteries. Stone Angels, Wings and Peace.
it's beautiful, and the willow trees....quelle merveille!
You allright Zeph? Drink?
Fine thanks Offie, I didn't go to the canal to jump in :)
Any funereal overtones are purely accidental.
Zeph - if you had jumped in, it would have been, I'm sure, a purely poetic decision. I felt like jumping into your i-ku myself.
And I took the photo, so I can tell you it's the Hertford Union Canal alongside Victoria Park, Tony, you've probably been there in your youth.
never jumped in an i-ku before tony? all you need it's a mask and a tubaaa.....and then swim between 5 and 7 syllabes to avoid the wordstream.
'In my youth'? What are you implying, you young whippersnapper?
guitou, now you've got me on watery wonderings..
five seven and five
binding me to tide tables;
surfing the wave's crest.
File - if you can put that on a wave, it's my new i-ku.
Tony, correction: in your early childhood:)
strictly speaking that's not an i-ku, doesn't contain the word I, you see; File will have to decide if it counts, the syllable rule has already been waived for certain people...
or waved...
If it's online, it's an e-ku anyway. Next series, maybe.
Zeph,
"certain people".....or certain people's pet?
