This is a brilliant concept and executed flawlessly. But it's late, and I can't cope with motor-cycles sometimes.
There are actually times, Filo, that you hit the nail on the head so truly that it hurts too much to think to much. If you know what I mean.
Pay heed to the words of Knucklehead, you pseuds and poets.. 'freedom is restlessness/or listlessness' hmm, yes..
If I'd ever got through 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' I would have cleverer things to say, but I do think this is really good, File, wise and funny. That's also rather a lovely pic in its own right.
I've just thought about Knucklehead.
Are you cruising for a bruising?
Fender to fender, on a hell of a bender.
Rubber on tarmac on skin on bone. I'm a motorslug with a loco lust.
Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel.
OOOh sppeed freaks. I've got a white line fever.
Quite excited now.
I'm still 1/2 way Zen and the art of... too.
File, I don't think I like this as much as some of the others. The picture is, as usual fabulous. It's the poetry I'm having problems with 'cos I feel a little frustrated with it. I don't feel pulled along with it or, rather, I do; only to feel it stop in its tracks. Mind you, if you wanted to recreate the city driving experience, I suppose I've just described it perfectly! I'll give one example of what I mean: I loved lines 1-8. Then, just as it was beginning to flow, it stalled for between lines 9-11. Still, it does make me come back to look again (6 times so far, I think) so it obviously has something for me.
Anyway... more!
Filou,
Drive safe!
...Zen and the Art.. has just got that difficult middle, it does change at the end though
tried something different with this one, most lines in this are lead by the names of the features on the bike (1936 Harley "Knucklehead" cos of the bolts on the heads of the V-twin) rather than by the words or the pic
it meant there were some challenges with the 'lyrics', tho sometimes I just ignored it to move the text, I think you're right Tony sometimes it gets a little clunky, but then so does traffic as you say and so did the original Knuckles...work in progress!
thanks homies for consistent great support
